Project Overview
St. Triza Dormitory, located in Mathare Constituency, is a four-storey institutional housing project built to support student accommodation needs. Designed with practicality and durability in mind, the dormitory features simple finishes, functional layouts, and ample natural light to create a conducive living environment for learners.
The Challenge
The construction site sat on a steep, uneven slope, which made conventional foundation methods unfeasible. The terrain required a custom approach to ensure the buildings stability without forcing major alterations to the surrounding ground .
Our Solution
Our team implemented a stepped foundation design working with the natural contours of the land. This minimized environmental impact and created unique multi-level spaces that enhanced the connection to surroundings.
